Episode 11: Building Trust Between You and You

In this episode, I discuss the idea that we may not be taking ourselves as seriously as we should be. We all have goals and dreams, and sometimes, when we hear that little voice telling us it's time to take some action, it can be hard to listen.

Inspired by cognitive psychologist Amanda Crowell, the "3 defensive failures" is a phenomenon that may be able to describe why we are not following through with the things we say we're going to do.

Nonetheless, our "refusal" to take action is slowly decaying the trust we have between our dreamer self and the self that we are today.

My goal in this episode is to really identify what the reasons are behind our inconsistent or perhaps absent actions, reframe the ideas we have around these actions, and scale down our goals so we can take on those big actions we've been running from when we actually believe we can.
